Veggie sishebo

Don’t stress yourself out thinking about what you should make for dinner. Try this recipe for a vegetable sishebo that is easy on the pocket and so simple to make! So, sisi, sit down and relax and let Perfect Sishebo take care of you and your family.

Potato and mixed vegetable sishebo

Ingredients:

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Rajah Medium Curry Powder
  • 1 tsp Robertsons Steak & Chop Spice
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • ½ cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 3 potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 Knorrox Chilli Beef Stock Cube
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons Knorr Rich Beef & Tomato Soup

Method:

  1. In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat and brown the onion.
  2. Add Rajah Medium Curry Powder, Robertsons Steak & Chop Spice and tomatoes and fry for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the cabbage and fry for 2 minutes.
  4. Add remaining ingredients, stir well and bring to the boil.
  5. Turn down the heat to low and allow to simmer for 30 minutes with the lid on.
  6. Just before serving, mix the Knorr Rich Beef & Tomato Soup with 4 tablespoons of water to form a smooth paste. Pour it into the pot and allow the sishebo to simmer for 5 minutes until thick.
  7. Serve with rice.
